1. Introduction

Welcome to Chefff. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our fitness and nutrition tracking application—with cooking and recipe features—and related services, including our mobile application (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Chefff is a fitness and nutrition tracking platform focused on helping you log meals, understand calories and macros, and stay aligned with your goals. The Service includes tools such as snapping or submitting photos of meals for automated estimates, scanning product barcodes, logging foods manually from our food database, and viewing or storing nutrition-related information. Chefff also offers cooking and recipe features, including discovering, saving, and sharing recipes, recipe recommendations, meal planning tools, cooking guides, and community features where available. Chefff stores your data securely to provide personalized experiences across your devices.

3. User Accounts

To access certain Chefff services, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. Chefff may integrate with various third-party services through secure authentication protocols.

4. Recipe and Content Handling

Chefff processes your recipe data to provide recipe and cooking features within the Service. Important commitments regarding your data:

Your saved recipes and meal plans are stored securely on our servers to provide cross-device synchronization
You retain ownership of any original recipes you create and share on the platform
We only access recipe data necessary to provide personalized recommendations and meal planning features
Recipe processing occurs through secure, encrypted connections
You maintain control over what recipes and cooking content you choose to share publicly

5. Calorie Tracking and User Content

If you use nutrition or calorie tracking features, you may submit photos of food, barcode scans, manual food log entries, and related text or metadata ("User Content"). You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content. You grant Chefff a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, and analyze User Content solely to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Service to you—for example, to generate calorie or nutrition estimates from images you submit and to sync your logs across devices.

We do not use your User Content to train machine learning models. User Content may be processed using automated or AI-assisted analysis to return results to you in real time or near real time; that processing is for providing the Service, not for model training.

6. Health, Nutrition, and Safety Disclaimers

Chefff does not provide medical advice, nutritional counseling, or professional health services. Calorie estimates, nutrition information (including from barcodes or our food database), and food identifications are automated approximations and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. You should consult licensed professionals for dietary or medical guidance. Chefff is not liable for inaccuracies in calorie counts, nutrition data, barcode lookups, or food identification.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Chefff only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use our service:

In any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
To send spam, unsolicited, or bulk communications
To attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts
To transmit or process any material that contains viruses or harmful code
To infringe upon or violate the intellectual property rights of others or Chefff
To harass, abuse, or harm another person
To use the service for any commercial purposes without our prior written consent
To share recipes or content that violates copyright or other intellectual property rights
To upload violent, unlawful, or infringing User Content, or images of individuals without lawful consent

8. Recipe and Nutrition Features

You acknowledge and understand that:

Recipe recommendations are based on your preferences and may not always suit every dietary need or taste
You are responsible for verifying ingredients for allergies or dietary restrictions before cooking
Chefff's recipe suggestions and nutrition-related outputs are for informational purposes and do not replace professional dietary or medical advice
Cooking times and instructions may vary based on equipment and skill level
You should use your own judgment when following recipes, cooking instructions, and any nutrition or calorie information shown in the Service

9. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Paid subscriptions or other purchases may be offered through third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment processing, billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellation are governed by the applicable platform's terms and policies. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel in accordance with the platform's rules (for example, canceling at least 24 hours before the end of the current period where required). If you have billing questions, contact the platform that processed your purchase as well as us at the email below if needed.

10. Intellectual Property

Chefff and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Chefff and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Third-Party Services

Chefff may integrate with third-party service providers (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, authentication, barcode or nutrition data sources, or payment platforms) to deliver the Service. We share data with those providers only as needed to provide the Service, subject to our agreements and this Privacy Policy. We require service providers to protect your information appropriately. Unless we state otherwise in our Privacy Policy, we do not allow third parties to use your personal information to train their machine learning models.

We may also use session replay or similar technologies that record interactions with the Service in anonymized or de-identified form (as described in our Privacy Policy) to improve product quality and the user experience.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to Chefff immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Chefff provides its service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that access thereto will be continuous or uninterrupted. Recipe recommendations, cooking suggestions, calorie estimates, nutrition information, and barcode or database lookups are based on automated or assisted analysis and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any such outputs.

14. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Chefff, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service; (ii) any recipe recommendations, cooking content, or nutrition or calorie information; (iii) any meal planning or recipe management actions taken by the service; (iv) any conduct or content of any third party on the service; (v) any content obtained from the service; and (vi) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms.
